Owner Trisha Virgadamo is a formally trained interior designer turned self-taught cake artist. Her passion began after her own wedding to her husband, Travis, in 2009.  After spending hours searching for a cake design for her own wedding, Trisha felt inspired by this delicious art form. Soon after completing her college education, Trisha decorated her first cake for fun and her new obsession began…

 

Sugar & Slice creations tap into Trisha’s formal training as an interior designer and center on clean lines, elegant textures, and color.  We are always looking for a new challenge and are continually investing in new training and technology to keep up with or stay ahead of currents trends.  While we fully understand that the appearance of our creations are incredibly important to your special day, we also feel that your cake should not only look incredible, but should taste incredible too!  Our signature buttercream is incredibly light and delicious, all of our cakes are made from scratch right before your event, and our variety of flavors will leave you wanting to try them all.  Trisha has won multiple awards at a local cake competition for her cake flavors and designs.  Sugar & Slice is quickly becoming one of the Ithaca and CNY area's premier providers of wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and fine confections.

 

Sugar & Slice is a Tompkins County health department certified and fully insured bakery, but we do not have a storefront location.  All orders are booked by appointment only and are baked to order.  Sugar & Slice also accepts only a limited number of orders per week so that every creation can receive the full attention it deserves.  Due to the limited number of orders accepted, many holiday weekends and weekends during the popular wedding season months of June through September may be booked far in advance.  Please do not hesitate to contact us when you are starting to plan your event, it is never too soon to talk cake!
